A hover of
trout. the answer is a hover of trout. I really love collective nouns, I've been collecting different ones for fish. While a school or a shoal can refer to groups of fish generally, some specific types of fish have their own collective noun. Like a flock of birds is different from a murder of crows.
That being said, happy October!
October started with much stress over school. In my fifth week I had my sports fest, in my fourth week I had exams, in my third week I had my major projects. So a lot to be done!
On the topic of sports fest, I think that was the best one yet. The effort of everyone -- no matter the team or event -- really shone through this SF. I personally went hard on making the banner for the cheer event (and my team won!), and for track & field (I won the 100m dash). The mascots too for every team were so well crafted and unlike last year, they were worn around for cheering.
I think the highlight of Sports Fest this year was either Football or Battle of the Bands. All the teams were great for football, but my team won the championship. The song was 'The reason' by Hoobstank for Battle of the Bands and my team won that too! The vocalists and guitarist were so great. Like they covered it without changing much yet impacted the music in a fitting way, their voices fit the tone and type of song, all in all it was great. I just wished they let us play more heavy music...
I lost my voice after cheering for two days straight. It's completely reasonable but it's funny because 1. I get to speak deeper 2. I sound like a chew toy. Sooorr...
It's kinda funny how I've been in track & field for two years, yet some people still do not see it at all. In fairness I'm an artist usually so... They expect me to do the art events. But this is probably the one time I can do a sport I like because there isn't a track team in my school. They only have track & field for sports fest. It's disappointing, but at least I have art club.
Speaking of art club, our club vests came in! Usually they do shirts or jackets, but we thought a vest with a whole buncha pockets will be more practical for art club members -- plus it's easier to put on over our uniforms than changing out and putting on a shirt. And dang, wasn't I correct.
So far been an okay month. Just with many crashouts because of school & projects.
Oh, I've also been so into dispatch! It's my type of game. I love all the characters but specifically Sonar & Prism. Of course I can't resist Robert though, you can't put my favourite food in front of me and not expect me to eat. Invisigal is also such a dynamic character, what an adorable cast. I enjoy how balanced it feels. I enjoy this trope of villain rehab very much.
Well. That's all I remember to say. I feel very unmotivated, but as always, hopes be many and woes be few; fortunes be abundant to you and your crew.
